Safety, nurture, and educate is the philosophy behind Ms. Nancy’s mission as she and her amazing staff serve the families and children of her beloved community of Oakland, California.
Li’l Nancy’s Primary Schoolhouse strives to have an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse set of families, while delivering a low teacher-to-child ratio to ensure the promoting of an increased, quality learning program. A major goal is to prevent any educational gaps from developing.
About our Curriculum
Research and development have taught us about relationships with parents and childcare providers and how they play a vital part in the brain development of infants and toddlers. Li’l Nancy’s fosters activities that build strong relationships with our staff and pays close attention to our children’ s feelings, interests, and needs. Our children are facilitated through active and choice learning.
Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate, and it fosters many different domains that assist children in their emotional, cognitive, social, language skills and physical development. Our curriculum has a monthly theme that includes an alphabet, number, shape, and color of the month. The children have a great opportunity to learn and master these important concepts.
